Longchamp Faraway S/S 2011 Collection

Longchamp launched back in February a new bag collection for the Spring Summer season called Faraway, featuring the famous model Kate Moss. For the collection Kate has embraced a 70`s summer look - sporting a heavy sunbleached fringe, embellished kaftans and wide-legged trousers while she was photographed by Alasdair McLellan.
The design of the collection derived from Kate’s passion for fashion and personal experiences from catwalks, red carpet and traveling around the world. The new collection has a more summery feel than previous collections, with striped and woven shopper bags and plaited strap satchels joining Kate Moss now signature leather buckle bags.
A trip to Peru was the starting point for Kate Moss' third collection for Longchamp. "Faraway Exotic", hightlights its key piece: a spacious basket bag that comes in 2 versions. One in a colorful woven fabric, inspired by samples Kate brought back from South America. The other basket bag is in a fabulously supple leather, embossed with the pattern of straw. "Faraway On The Road", encapsulates an array of desirable designs in canvas and leather that evoke a timeless spirit of adventure. "Faraway Chic" illustrated by the shopper and the flap bag for which Kate chose a new, extra-supple calfskin with a subtle waxy finish. It now adapts to the hippy deluxe ambiance with khaki, undoubtedly the shade of the season.

Take a look of the ad campaigns, `Faraway` the movie and some of the bags from the summer collection, right after the jump.
