Estee Lauder`s Idealist Illuminators

In July, Estee Lauder will unveil in-store images of Joan Smalls, Liu Wen and Constance Jablonski photographed by Craig McDean , to bring the “Every Woman Can Be Beautiful” concept to the Estee Lauder counters. In addition to the key print ad image, each model will have a freestanding print ad image highlighting the uneven skin tone concerns that apply to her particular ethnicity.

“Estée Lauder always used to say that any woman can be beautiful, and she expressed that in many ways, including through advertising,” said Aerin Lauder, senior vice president and creative director for Estée Lauder. “This campaign is a modern interpretation of some of the most memorable ads Estée created over the years. Joan, Liu Wen and Constance are all global beauties who will help us express all facets of beauty and write a new chapter for the brand.”

While uneven pigmentation is the number one skin concern cited by most women worldwide, the way that discoloration manifests itself in different complexion colors can be very different.
For example, while fairer tones tend to suffer from sun specks and café au lait splotches from UV rays, deeper tones can experience more bruise-like spots that are triggered by inflammation, and can seemingly take an eternity to fade.
Yet two new launches from Estée Lauder claim to address all of those pesky pigmentation issues via a three-pronged approach meant to work for all skin tones.

Both Idealist products target problems shared by all different skin tones. Idealist Even Skintone Illuminator consists of a serum designed to address all key signs of uneven skin tone for every ethnicity, while Idealist Cooling Eye Illuminator, a product with two shades, addresses dark circles and puffiness.
The Idealist Even Skintone Illuminator, has the same glucosamine complex found in the brand's original Idealist hero product that provides rapid cell turnover, is now blended with Vitamin C and botanical extracts that target build-up of melanin in the skin. Antioxidant superpowers of rice bran extract and Vitamin E offer brightening powers, while licorice soothes any irritation that may cause future darkening.
Idealist Cooling Eye Illuminator uses a similar base blend, with the addition of cooling ceramic tip applicator that massages the delicate eye area to encourage circulation that prevents puffiness and the blue-purple tint of pooled blood in the undereye area. Sea algae, caffeine and sucrose also work together to stimulate the area.
Both products are also dressed in reflection technology, for instant brightening gratification.
