When No Idea Is Flowing, I Will Be In Silence or On A Cruise

I am pretty inactive in my blog world recently..no idea apparently and I can't do much of make up stuff that much because I've been busy rearranging my thoughts and I feel and look terrible now. Beside, I never intended to blog about beauty or make up all the time, I don't have much money to buy all the stuff anyway. ^_^

So a bit of update, I've been on a cruise few days ago. Helsinki to Stockholm and back. It was my first cruise ever and it was fun. I've really enjoyed it and experienced the "Finnish" way of cruising. That's how my bf would describe it.

There were 4 of us and we were cruising with Silja Symphony. Departure at 5 p.m. (8th Mar) and arrived in Stockholm around 10:30 a.m. (9th Mar) and back to Helsinki at 11:30 a.m. (10th Mar). It was a short trip anyway so sorry, no souvenirs yet! ^_^

Inside

Stockholm is quite ghetto in my perspectives, in a good way. Beside, any city is ghetto-ish. Anywho, the first thing that I did was dranked hot cocoa at Sandys and walked around and ate at Burger King. Yes, Burger King. Apparently, my bf told me it is become quite tradition to come to Stockholm and ate at Burger King because Finland doesn't have Burger King. So, it is quite a treat for me as well. ^_^

It looks like I am back in 1960's. I don't know, I feel that way. ^_^

I really love Gamla Stan. The old town in Stockholm. There's a lot of small shops and cafes and tons of record store. Oh! I can image how my dad's eye will be sparkling if he's here. One day..one day...

I wasn't ready yet!!

But all good things must end. That night after Stockholm rounding, had a dinner and unfortunately the ship was rocking or shifting or tilting so much, I had a sick sea. *puke* My tummy didn't feel so good and I feel nausea the whole night.I was looking at tilting water bottle made it worst. It doesn't ruin any thing but I guess we were pretty lucky though. ^_^

One Man trash is Another Man treasure.

That's what I do here. Mostly whenever my bf is having his free day, we went to scavenger hunt for cheap stuff. You can say I've been cheap now. Seriously, I do not want to pay 10€ of muffin tray if I can get it for 0.50€. Though I usually search for kitchen stuff and boxes or household items.

Things I won't buy at recycle center is make up or anything with hygiene issues. I prefer them "fresh".

I am hoping Malaysia could have this kind of stuff as well. I think Malaysia have flea markets but I'm really not active finding flea markets back home. The only place I could think of is Amcorp Mall. There used to be flea markets on basement floor, I'm not sure if still operating. Oh well...I'm sure there's a lot of people from PJ willing to give up stuff anyway :)

Plus, it save for the environment...:)

Amcorp Mall... I do like it there. So much good stuff there: Make up, crafts and cheap books. Purrrfect for me!

Perhaps I will do scavenger hunt back home as well. Though when you have Mydin or Nilai or even Sungei Wang, that scavenger hunt project will most probably out of the window.

Where else can you get 6 deodorants for 6RM? Mydin..oh Mydin.. Does Mydin have a theme song?

Summer Sun 

This is a sun. It shines until 11 pm or whatever time the sun wants to set.

Though I am very much grateful to be able to see it from my window everyday with this nature. You can't help it, 80% of this area covered with trees.No, I'm not living on a tree if that what you are wondering. It suits with reputation of being born in Borneo *wink* < for Sarawakian, you know what I mean. Peninsulars people used to be ignorance. Say thanks to AirAsia for that! No offence. It's only a joke.... -ish. Most of my friends are from KL. Love you guys! :P~

Flower power!!!

We got plants for the house and the sunflower, died after 2 days. Too much sun? I can't water it too much, it just need sun. why do you think it is called sunflower?

So when I researched, perhaps I might over water it. I did? *urgh*

how sad is it? It would be such a lovely flower with all the plants together...

Oh well... only one died...so just a little reminder. Do not have sunflower. Officially, I do not have green hands. :(

I can't believe I will say this but it is actually hot here.

Summer

I know it is summer when I have the urge the get the beach body.

I know it is summer when kissu didn't come home for one night. (summer party?)

I know it is summer when they sell fans.

I know it is summer when every guy in the park go shirtless.

I know it is summer when a baby squirrel running passed through your head while you asleep.

Here and there

Finally after waiting for almost a month, I finally reach to fridge land.
It was pretty scary on the plane. Only 4 hours in flight, there’s a slightly turbulence and no matter how tired I was I couldn’t sleep like a princess the whole flight.
Who does anyway?
I get pretty conscious about people sitting behind me if I put my seat a bit lower, it will hit their heads or their groin. Consider much?
The best thing about the flight is the in-flight entertainment. Avatar and Sherlock Holmes was in the entertainment!
I watched Avatar for 20 minutes and I snoozed. No matter how good people telling the movie is, I just don’t feel like watching it. Call me slow but I don’t give a crap about being left out.

It is spring now. It feels like autumn with all the rain and misty winds though it is nice weather when it wants to. Perhaps it is the best spring ever, at least for me.
I received the biggest surprise ever and it feels like a dream.
Whenever I look on my finger, it’s real alright.

A start of new beginning.

Depressing. The color is changing to yellowish reddish and brownish and wet-tish...
I think everyday is rainy day. It's been 3 days straight without sunlight and it makes me cope inside the house even more. Well, as depressing as it sound, it is not bad at all.

I love the colors and it is my first autumn ever. I can't answer when people asked me whether I still like Finnish weather, I'm just here for 4 months now, and through only 2 season, so give me a break. :) I'll tell when I complete my cycle of seasons.

ahh... smell of chicken with koriander leaves. :) I've cooked chicken mostly. I don't do meat much. I found cooking chicken is easier. :)

Autumn 2009

Autumn. My first autumn. Everything turns into yellow, brownish and reddish. Trees and grasses, I mean. J

It is just a beautiful day outside. I am sitting at the kitchen waiting for my peanuts to cook with ghee.:) everything is ghee now.:)

Autumn again. The best thing is there is always a tradition comes along with the season. Like tradition of midsummer in Finland which go around the bushes naked and all other naked stuff :) I will definitely participate in that next midsummer.

For autumn, I dont know if there's any tradition but I think there is some tradition in England or other parts of world. Let me google. :) oh silly me, its Halloween or mischief night and harvest festival (that would be in England).Anyhow, there's an interesting traditions in Chinese culture where it is one of the most romantic night for lovers, holding hands on hilltop and just moon gazing:). Family reunion, much like western thanksgiving and they make lanterns and such!

Wonder why there's 4 season? I found there is God of winter (Skadi- Norse god and the crone- Celtic god or goddess) and God of spring (Eostre - Celtic God) but no God of Summer or autumn. Even God prefer to have vacations on that season! :)

Interesting enough, the sun is very much bright and it gives me a very happy feeling. A lot of people telling me about how dark it would be when winter arrive. I'm looking forward to that as well as I am looking forward to be depress.:) It will be my first full winter experience. geezzz....

It will be Raya in 6 days. Time does flies. :)
